Tag: This or That

I have recently seen bloggers doing the "this or that" tag so I thought I'd try it out as well. This is the first tag post on my blog, hope you guys like it.

MAKEUP
Blush or Bronzer: Blush because I just don't know how to use Bronzer.
Lip gloss or Lipstick: Lipgloss since I find most lipsticks to be drying, and just too made up for my liking. I also never seem to find any lipsticks that suit my skin tone.
Eyeliner or Mascara: Mascara on a daily basis, but when I am going for something more made up I do like using black or colored eyeliners.
Foundation or Concealer: Foundation light coverage whether powder or cream.
Neutral or Color Eye Shadow: I really don't know how to use eyeshadows so I would mostly go for single Neutral eyeshadows that I can just blend with my fingers.
Pressed or Loose Eye Shadows: Definitely Pressed since loose powders/eyeshadows could get messy.
Brushes or Sponges: Fingers, if I cannot blend a product easily with my fingers I am not buying it. I do not even like investing in makeup let alone makeup tools like brushes, sponges, and whatnot.

NAILS
Long or Short: Short, I'm not a great fan of long nails. They just look fake and unnecessary, but that's just me.
Acrylic or Natural: Natural. I rarely go to the salon for anything. I just don't have the time or money for that.
Neutrals or Pastels: Both, it depends.

BODY
Perfume or Body Splash: Perfume because most body mists are weak and alcoholic smelling.
Lotion or Body Butter: Body butter for winters and lotion for summers.
Body Wash or Soap: Body wash since I find soaps to be drying in general except for maybe the Dove soap which I use sometimes.
Lush or other bath company: The Body Shop

HAIR
Curly or Straight: I have naturally wavy hair so though I would prefer straight hair, it requires painful straightening so I'll pick Curly.
Bun or Ponytail: Both. Ponytail when I am going out and Bun when I am at home.
Hair spray or Gel: Neither since I do not like the stiff cast that they give to my hair. I like my hair to be soft/smooth and easily pass through a comb.
Long or Short: Both, depending on my mood and how hectic my schedule is. When I'm really busy I like to keep it shoulder length but when I have more time to spare for hair care then I try and grow it out.

RANDOM
Rain or Shine: Shine, who loves rain really, we can't go out or do anything.
Summer or Winter: I like snowfall but only for maybe a few days, 6 months of snowfall is no fun so I'll pick Summer.
Chocolate or Vanilla: Chocolate, I don't know how vanilla is even a flavor, it just tastes like sweetened cream to me. But if it is fragrances, I love Vanilla more than Chocolate.

So that's the entire tag. Phew! it was tiring. I hope you had fun reading it. Now it's your turn, I tag YOU, yes whoever is reading this, consider yourself tagged. If you have a blog, just blog it and send me a link to your post, or you can just do it in the comments section below, that way we can get to know more about each other.

Top 12 Things to Buy from Kruidvat own Brand

We've been seeing inflation here in the Netherlands since October last year. It's just plain ridiculous to see something that I paid 5 euros for a few months back is now around 7 euros or maybe more. That doesn't sound like a lot but when you buy about 50 things (food, groceries, toiletries, etc.) for your house, it all adds up and overall you are paying 50 to 100 euros more than what you were paying previously. But unfortunately, not a lot of us have seen this increase in our pay and many people have even lost jobs during and after the covid crisis. So it's only natural for us to want to save our money wherever we can. But that said we also do not want to compromise on quality. And that is where the idea for this post comes from. Kruidvat is a drugstore that is similar to CVS/Walgreens in the US. Products sold here are mostly hygiene products, cleaning supplies, makeup, and over-the-counter medicines. I have been shopping here for hygiene products for years. By now I

April 2012 Favorites and Regrets

I can't believe April has already come to an end. I can't say I'm sorry either because this means less rain, more blossoms, and summer in another month. So without further ado, I present to you this month's beauty and makeup favorites. For those I've reviewed I have linked them to the blog post. For the rest of them, I left short reviews of why I did or didn't like them. As you can see there are quite a few things I've been liking this month. The list of all things beauty I've been loving/using frequently are: (in left to right order) Aussie Instant Freeze Hair Spray Extreme Hold: This product is just wow. The windy city can be brutal to hair and this product is really a blessing. It's easy to use and smells great. It's not too expensive and comes in a huge bottle. Clairol Herbal Essences Hydralicious Reconditioning Conditioner Jergens Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Moisturizer: I first got introduced to this lotion when I was in India and

5 Things that Did Not Work for Me to Lose Weight with Hypothyroid/PCOS

I have been suffering and dealing with Hypothyroid/PCOS for about a decade now. Weight gain is one of the main problems of people struggling with these two chronic illnesses. I have tried a lot of things to reduce weight and over the years I have been through many trials and tribulations and made many mistakes in the process of trying to lose weight.  The following tips come from my experience and these are mistakes you might want to avoid if weight loss is your goal with Hypothyroid/PCOS. Counting calories : Like many others, I bought into the belief that by counting calories and limiting my calorie intake I would be able to lose weight. But this is a very bad way to start because it gives you the idea that you can eat anything and everything as long as you are limiting your calorie intake. And since most foods like junk, and ready-made foods that you buy at the supermarket come with a lot of calories, I used to overall eat very less, not get enough nutrition, starve myself, and then
